EES 6420 - Paleobio of Paleo Vert/Plants

Course Description: The rise and evolution of Paleozoic vertebrate and plant groups with an emphasis on the evolution of jawed fishes, early tetrapods, and the terrestrialization of Earth. Phylogenetic and molecular analysis, and recent discoveries in the field of Evo-Devo will be employed to determine the origin and diversification of major vertebrate groups, and uncover connections between macroevolutionary trends and paleoenvironmental changes.
