ATH 3030 - Peoples of the United States

Course Description: An introductory course focusing on anthropological approaches to the study of culture in the United States. We belong to a community consisting of people of diverse cultural origins, and of different races, classes, genders and sexual orientations. Although we will consider examples of diversity that have often been labeled multiculturalism, we will also look at otherwise familiar forms of cultural expression using an anthropological lens.
